Defenestrator - Oil on Canvas, 2ft x 4ft, 2022

$1,000.00

‍ ‍ I moved into a 9th floor apartment overlooking downtown Kansas City right in the heart of the Covid-19 lockdowns. Shortly after my move, while painting at the window overlooking the street, I noticed a big cyst of police and emergency trucks forming a few blocks away. I soon learned that a woman had leapt from the parking garage of a particular bank that she felt had ruined her life. She thought she’d punish them with her destruction. This, one of my first finished pieces since I began painting in earnest, was inspired by that act.
