Sebastian, Cherry-Apple Peach, Oil on Canvas, 22"x30", 2026

This is a painting about the moment just before the miraculous return to life; the heat and the spirit are still attached but likely to blow away. Like if a person threw 8 years into the woodchipper of heroin addiction. Like if they were punctured so many times but they did it to themselves. Like Good Friday is always difficult. There's no indication that miraculous success is a moment away, but that's how St Sebastian goes. He's just about to wake up and find a purpose.
